First visit and loved it. All the meze (hot and cold) were great. A small entree section but all 3 chosen by our group were quite good. Atmosphere was simple but pleasant. Waitress was attentive and helpful - also a fun attitude. Only down side which was not the restaurant's fault was the loud customer next to us. Despite a wonderful birthday dinner. Will come again.
We were downtown for an event, and when "the other Greek restaurant" in OTR didn't have availability, I found Fillo and made a reservation. The staff and service were great, as were the food and drinks. We had a glass of wine and one of their cocktails and both were excellent. The roasted cauliflower appetizer was delicious and made me want to return and make a meal of just apps. The moussaka entree was excellent too, though it's definitely rich and we each brought some leftovers home so we could save room for dessert. After seeing so many dessert and pastry photos online, I was a little disappointed that there were only two dessert offerings - I guess they recently switched from being more daytime/pastry oriented to dinner service. That said, the baklava we got was phenomenal. I could have eaten three more servings of it. I definitely recommend checking this place out. And make reservations on the weekend because it filled up quickly Saturday after 5!
We went there for the Pre-fixe dinner($55/person).
The service was not good. Due to some reason, they were unable to serve one of the three desserts. Our server never mentioned anything about it until I asked about it. In my opinion, you are obligated to let the customer know if you are unable to serve one of the items in a Pre-fixe menu. The sad part was they weren't going to do anything to compensate for the missing item(not even acknowledge it in the firat place, lol). Seeing all this, I just asked for another round of the dessert that I liked, and the server agreed to it. lol desserts are a big deal for me. Also, the service was slow.
The food was great. Manitaria and Ravani were absolutely delicious.
The space was very pretty. According to open table they were completely booked and we’d made a reservation but when we walked in it was absolutely dead. Total of 5 tables including us.
We waited over 5 minutes to be acknowledged, our waitress never came over. She acknowledged the table to our right multiple times, brought them drinks and followed up with them two separate times.
The host brought us water and a drink menu, no food menu after we were waiting for some time (this is because our waitress didn’t.) There were actually no tables that had food at the time we sat down or went to leave As we went to leave the staff got into an argument between the mixologist, host, and waitress. After not being acknowledged or served in a nearly empty restaurant we decided to go to another establishment.
This place is amazing! People who work there are so friendly, they come and ask if everything is fine, they check if you need anything, they are so kind!! The food, because that's the reason why I visited that place haha, is delicious! 10/10! I also tried coffee with vanilla and lavender - you definitely need to try that! 😍👌🏻 Atmosphere is fantastic and the place is so spacious and clean! I definitely recommend that place. Will be back for sure! ✨
Great place and service with authentic food. Pork souvlaki and gyro were excellent. Greek salad was like a taste of home. Look forward to going again to try more things.
Also got a vasilopita this year (greek new years cake) that was delicious!
Absolutely loved our first visit here, and can’t wait to go back! The BLT with baked Halloumi greek cheese and egg was outstanding, and the semolina honey cake was an incredible surprise… so simple but so perfect! The service was kind and attentive and the owner even stopped by to check in and for a chat. What a treat in the heart of OTR!
